About this artwork
I had two old wooden frames I'd picked up in a chalet in Courchevel, and two dragonflies that had been used as curtain rod supports. Quite naturally, I combined wood and metal for these highly contrasting pieces. A little boy told me they were light to look at! And yet heavy to carry! One, with its golden reflections, was immediately flown off... to a chalet in Meribel... This one, with its bronzed intentions, remains...
