About this artwork
This painting captures a landscape where colour does most of the talking. I wanted the fields to feel full and alive, so the warm reds, yellows, and oranges spread across the canvas in layered strokes. Cooler blues and greens break up the intensity and guide the eye toward the line of trees in the distance. The sky is built with thick, textured clouds to balance the energy below.
It’s simply a moment of open space, bright light, and shifting colours,… a field that feels a little larger and louder than reality.
