About this artwork
Inner Glow was born from the need to speak about a light that does not come from the outside. I created this portrait as a statement about inner vitality—about the joy of remaining alive, colorful, and authentic, even when the world around slows down. The gaze is open and warm, while the lips carry a subtle tension, a sign of unspoken yet fully embraced thoughts. The hair, built from repetitive chromatic rhythms, becomes a metaphor for energy that…
flows constantly—quietly, but with certainty. I worked intuitively, layer by layer, allowing color to lead emotion. Inner Glow is about keeping your light alive without having to prove it. About a calm radiance that does not seek attention, yet is deeply felt.

Laurentiu Dimisca is an award-winning painter, textile artist, and sculptor based in Romania who has exhibited his works nationally, in Switzerland, Italy, the United States, the Dominican Republic, the Netherlands, and France. As a narrative painter whose style is in the real of free figuration, Dimisca's compositions translate his own take on mythologies, as well as folk tales from his childhood. His vivid pieces are created using acrylics and pencils on canvas or cardboard.
