About this artwork
"ICARUS" was born from the desire to represent contemporary man's relationship with his own creations, especially artificial intelligence. Inspired by the myth of Icarus, I wanted to evoke the dual nature of our inventions: tools of progress, but also potential forces of control, especially when passively endured or used unconsciously.
Sometimes it is human genius itself that generates its own "monsters", in a delicate balance between innovation… and risk.
The work is made of wood, resin, and ferrous materials: an assemblage in which natural elements intertwine with industrial waste, underscoring the dialogue—and conflict—between nature and artifice.
