About this artwork
Mania’s Connectedness is an evocative portrayal of feminine contemplation, serenity and empowerment. I created this piece to embody a profound sense of self-awareness and inner harmony, a quiet moment where mind, body and spirit exist in balance.
The female form is presented unclothed yet dignified, not as an expression of vulnerability but as one of confidence, composure and self-possession. Her presence reflects an intimate connection with her… inner world, grounded in stillness rather than tension. This is a figure at ease with herself, aligned rather than exposed.
Carved directly into solid wood, the natural grain and organic irregularities are intentionally preserved, allowing the material to participate in the narrative. The wood becomes a metaphor for resilience and continuity, reinforcing the sense of calm strength and grounded awareness within the composition.
The work invites reflection on inner alignment, self-acceptance and the quiet strength found in contemplation.
