About this artwork
The emotional state is suspended in the instant preceding the kiss: the attraction is at its peak, the desire is still full of expectations because it has not yet been consummated. This state of grace, full of promises but also ephemeral, has been represented by the artist using some fragmented photographic images and arbitrarily recomposed with the technique of collage and photomontage. The paper prints were cut and glued with vinyl glue on a canvas…
and finally treated with fixative and final varnish. The collage is framed and protected by synthetic glass.

Marco Ronga is an experienced painter, draftsman, and sculptor based in Italy whose works have been exhibited nationally and in England. He describes his works as fusing themes of the portrait and the human figure with suggestions of urban architecture and the landscape resuting in "portraits of places and landscapes of bodies". Ronga's painterly compositions are most often created with acrylics and oils on wood or canvas.
