It is a collage made with a photographic reproduction of a pictorial work by the author himself. The horizontal cuts and the recomposition on a wooden panel give dynamism and new meanings to the image. At the center of the composition are two bodies intertwined, as in a love relationship or in a dance movement. The image focuses on the intertwining of the legs and a detail of a hand on the hip, sufficient to suggest an atmosphere of intimacy and… eroticism. The palette plays on the warm tones of the complexion, from pink to ochre, the yellow of Naples and white. The horizontal cuts and the sliding of the photographic pieces of the collage give dynamism to the image which expands on the support which is also in wood, as in the original picture reproduced in the photomontage.

Marco Ronga is an experienced painter, draftsman, and sculptor based in Italy whose works have been exhibited nationally and in England. He describes his works as fusing themes of the portrait and the human figure with suggestions of urban architecture and the landscape resuting in "portraits of places and landscapes of bodies". Ronga's painterly compositions are most often created with acrylics and oils on wood or canvas.
