About this artwork
"Illusion" (the double face of identity) is part of a series of my images that revisit the theater, costume sketches, and typical works from the performances of the Comédie dell'Arte. Masked characters were created for me, often "zanni" in white costumes, or Pierrots, visiting Watteau's Pierrot. My characters, however, are metaphors for individuals of all times, including our own contemporary era. In this work, "Illusions," the theme is the mask…
