[Sanctum series]
acrylic, ink & mulberry paper on canvas

With this one I wanted to experiment with thin ink washes on mulberry paper. Then I cut out the pieces, glued them to the canvas and weathered them. The work has an instant warm, nostalgic mid-century feel. A dreamlike childhood fantasy perhaps. A place where modernist motifs meld in a semi-lucid state.
