About this artwork
The road lay still before me, as if it hadn't quite let go of the night. It was one of those mornings when the cold freezes not only the air but also every movement. As I stepped out of the car, the frost immediately bit my face, and my breath became small, fleeting clouds that disappeared into the mist.
I remember how my hands almost went numb while I held the camera. The silence was so intense that even the soft crunching of my footsteps sounded… unnaturally loud. Before me rose the mountains, immense and unattainable, their peaks hidden in the dense gray, as if they were eluding my gaze.
The road practically drew me in – this clear line that disappeared somewhere into uncertainty.
When I finally took the picture, it wasn't just the landscape I was capturing, but also that feeling: the cold on my skin, the peace in my mind, and the sense that it is precisely these kinds of moments that one never forgets.
