One word is enough. And a picture is worth a thousand words... To celebrate life... To venerate beauty... To respect transience... The blend of acrylic, collage, and gel printing allows me to weave together different layers of emotions and memories. The semi-abstract forms and vibrant colors bring both energy and intimacy to any room where the artwork hangs.

Michaela Kuhl is a painter who works primarily in watercolor and oil techniques. She is a survivor of the 2004 tsunami, incorporating her experiences into her artistic development. She uses layered painting techniques that symbolize transformation and growth, as well as poetic titles to open up access to the depth of her paintings. Her works convey courage, hope, and the power to draw personal growth and strength from challenges—especially for women.
