About this artwork
My artwork tells of the stories of the Bedouins of times long past. The noble horses of the desert were exposed to harsh conditions. To get air in the dry desert, they stretched their necks from time to time and flared their nostrils. This earned them the name “Drinkers of the Skies.” The inspiration here was my zodiac sign Aquarius, which is one of the air signs. The blue color and the stars and moons on the saddle and bridle allude to the zodiac…
sign. The implementation with pastel colors in an impressionistic technique brings the image of a noble Arabian horse to life. The work is a touch of poetry from 1001 Nights for your room.
