About this artwork
The Sun. No wonder our ancestors revered it. Earth's weather, seasons, climate, and ocean currents are all driven by solar power. This yellow dwarf star, a near perfect sphere of blazing hot gases, holds our solar system together.
On April 8, 2024, the moon passed in front of the sun bringing daytime "night," a total eclipse, to those in the path of totality. We took a road trip to the zone of totality. The experience was mind altering and life… changing. It happens in Europe in 2025.
This is a diptych (2 panel) painting. The full size of each canvas is 65H x 48W inches leaving 2.5 inches on each side to stretch to its 60 H x 43W inch size per panel. They can be displayed with space between each painting, as a single painting with no space between panels, or separately, as desired. Please see photos for details.
Each panel is signed on back. They ship together in a tube. This is safer for large works. Rolled canvas can be easily stretched locally.
« I'm curious about how nature inspires awe, how we feel it deep in our bones, how to express that relationship, and what we can learn from it. My energetic, investment-quality paintings bring balance and harmony from the natural world to your interior space. »
