About this artwork
For human beings, Language is a process of speaking whereby one's history is made real. I'm trying to show something specifically human here: symbolic language. We were spoken to before coming into this world; we arrived bathed in a sea of language. We are the only living beings who can use a symbolic language, where we find and use metonyms, metaphors... Our thoughts are made of language. And from there comes everything, and much of what happens…
to us as human beings.
