I painted this work while facing decisions about my own life. It tells the story of a couple looking beyond their present, imagining a future elsewhere. They long for a better place, drawn outward by color and possibility, while still standing under a familiar roof that feels safe, yet confining. Two simplified figures in turquoise and warm tones, suggesting quiet distance, longing, and the gentle pull toward elsewhere.
