This mixed media painting is made from cassette tapes, on which multiple layers of acrylic have been applied using spray paint, brush and markers.
Background
The background consists of black tapes with blue-colored labels. In addition to this blue color, labels with natural tones have been added. This keeps the painting in balance, but it also gives an… exciting effect.
Painting
All faces are painted black in one tone. Not all faces are contoured with lines, making them half open and flowing into the background of the painting. With letter templates, 'Queen' is sprayed in a pink color. The letters have soft shadowed contours, so that they stand out more beautifully. Pastel shades have been added to the portrait to make the painting a bit lighter. All effects together give the painting a mysterious look.
