About this artwork
This piece represents three parallel glass triangular modules, resting perpendicularly on a solid slate beam.
The hardnesses and densities of the materials used by Philippe Fares to make this sculpture are equivalent (tempered glass, cement and solid slate). The result emanates an impression of coherent solidity.
Inspired by the automotive industry, this work is composed of simple and refined forms. The assembly imposes itself by its minimalist… character and by the ferrous green colors of the glazing. Surrounded by the deep black of the tinted cement, the whole is underlined by the gray of the stone. By choosing to light up Effraction in blue, the visual artist gives us a personal work that expresses his conception of a non-functional design.
