About this artwork
Euneirophrenia means 'the peaceful state of mind after a pleasant dream'. This painting is sort of the other way around. Inverse Euneirophrenia. A ton of dreams and thoughts in one single images. Not bad dreams, but silly, abstract dreams. The moment you wake up and think 'what the hell was that all about?' I have that a lot and I captured a little bit of that in this massive 78.74" x 78.74" painting.
Painted with acrylics, spray paints, acrylic… pens and graffiti ink on canvas. I've added a video so you can see the process. Keep in mind it is just a tiny tiny bit of all the painting I did over a period of two months. It is a neo-expressionistic style, combined with pop art and perhaps a bit of abstract expressionism. It is very colorful and meant to bring a smile on people faces instead. Because of all the shapes, colors and massive size this is a true eye catcher.
« I focus on contrast and balance within the chaos of color. »
