About this artwork
In this work, I sought to construct a dialogue between the body and architecture, between the living and the inert. I started from two images that, when superimposed, began to speak the same language: the solidity of a stone wall and the vulnerability of bound hands. The double exposure technique allowed me to blur their boundaries, allowing one to seep into the other until it was no longer possible to separate them.
I opted for a monochrome palette,… as I'm interested in the raw tension between light and shadow, between what is revealed and what remains hidden. Texture is key: the roughness of the stone against the softness of the skin creates a friction that is perceived even before understanding the image.
This piece speaks of confinement, both visible and invisible. The wall can be a real place or a state of mind, and the ropes don't just hold the body: they hold memory, identity, and the possibility of moving to another place.

Salva Nebot (Spain) is a multidisciplinary artist whose work has been exhibited in international institutions, galleries, and art fairs. His research addresses memory, absence, and oblivion, inviting the viewer to an interpretive threshold where the visible coexists with the latent.
