Insulated polystyrene in plexiglass box
Freeing the summer within us means awakening that bright, warm and vibrant part that lives deep within us. It is like opening the doors to an inner season made of golden light, long days and clear skies, where the sun seems to touch everything, infusing it with energy and life. It is allowing our spontaneity and joy to blossom, to bring out our most authentic and alive side, like a field in full bloom.
When… we release the inner summer, we feel the desire to explore, to smile for no reason, to feel the lightness of being. It is an invitation to live with the same intensity and freshness with which summer fills nature: bright colors, shared laughter, the courage to follow one's enthusiasm and savor every moment. To release this summer is therefore to open oneself to life with a spirit that celebrates every day, ready to shine and warm everything it encounters, in the July sun.
« "Each work offers the viewer a sinuous game of shapes always different from each other, divided by cracks that run endlessly through the entire work." »
Simone Parri, an Italian painter and sculptor, has exhibited throughout Italy. His works can also be found in several private collections in the United States. Parri approaches art with the philosophy that it is not about filling an empty space with a form, it is adding empty space to a form that already exists. He disassembles each shape or form, then reassembles it, adding “the void”. The sculptures are made of plastic polymers which are mounted/suspended on plexiglass.
