Aurora borealis, the northern lights, is a luminous phenomenon caused by excited nitrogen and oxygen atoms in the high atmosphere, i.e. an electrometeor. Auroras are most often seen in bands of about 3 to 6 degrees of latitude near the magnetic poles. So much for the scientific explanation! Without this, it is simply a spectacular phenomenon that casts a spell over us and shows people how small and powerless we actually are! This work of art exudes… a profound calm mixed with a sense of awe for nature. Through realistic and figurative representations, I want to bring viewers into a state of reflection and inner silence. There is pure emotion and fascination for the spectacle of nature in every brush stroke.
« My inspirations come from my deep love for nature and animals. If the viewer of my artistic work feels this passion, I have achieved everything! »
