About this artwork
The view from a lookout tower was the inspiration for this work. A spring walk on an unpaved path between different landscape areas near a farm. The 116 cm x 75 cm canvas was prepared with structural paste, paper and sand to create different structured large and small surfaces. The structural paste, which is applied thickly in some places and worked with a spatula, gives the picture different broken up textures. Colors in different concentrations…
give each area its own special character. The edges are painted and the work can be hung up.
