About this artwork
With this little piece of jewelry, the artist continues her series with oil paints and spatulas. She modified the spatula technique for this work a little: she no longer applied color to the spatula and then applied it to the canvas, but applied differently colored strips of oil paint directly from the tube to the canvas and then worked it out with the spatula. Surprisingly, some colors prevail more than others and in some cases canvas is even left…
blank so that you can see them. Attractive structures are created by the different guidance of the spatula and is sometimes reinforced by recessed furrows. In order to create the overall composition that the artist had imagined, additional colors are applied with the spatula to the still damp lower layer of paint and then drawn over it. All in all, a bright, summery work that the artist created that brings a summer mood to every room.
