About this artwork
The name of the work contains the essence of the work itself, undoubtedly referring to the intense flashes of gamma rays, abbreviated as GRB from the English term gamma ray burst.
Through the sharp contrast between the two colors, the artist manages to perfectly render the idea of light beams that pierce the darkness. The fuchsia cast with impetus on the black background represents the explosion of light and symbolizes the power of the universe.… The black background, on the other hand, represents the universe, an invisible and unknowable space that recalls the condition in which man not only loses sight of the world in which he lives, but becomes aware of the impossibility of projecting himself on a path finalistic able to make sense of one's existence. The artist's intent is in fact to portray the incessant clash between light and darkness, which appear as symbolic situations to represent the human condition.
