About this artwork
Interloper is such a cool word. It means 'a person who becomes involved in a place or situation where they are not wanted or are considered not to belong'
I painted this painting from the viewer perspective. As if you woke up and you found yourself in an absurd jungle setting. Not the place you belong apparently. I painting this is a fun way. I wanted to make it very 'childish'. Just not be a grown up, but just enjoy cartoonish figures, fantasy and… shapes of paint.
It is painted with different kinds of acrylics, spray paints, acrylic pens and graffiti ink on canvas in a neo-expressionistic style, combined with pop art and abstract expressionism. It has a great balance between color contrast, motion in abstract and detail. This is a 78.74" x 78.74" jawdropper!
« I focus on contrast and balance within the chaos of color. »
