Maria Vasquez is a self-taught photographic artist whose work unfolds through self-portraiture, where the body becomes both subject and territory.
Her images are rooted in lived experience—intimate, instinctive, and unapologetically honest. Through a refined language of sensuality and presence, she explores what is often restrained, challenging boundaries shaped by convention.
Rather than constructing scenes, she inhabits them, transforming moments of her own life into visual narratives charged with desire, vulnerability, and control.
Working between analogue sensitivity and digital precision, she explores feminine identity within intimate, transient spaces—where solitude, seduction, and self-awareness converge.
Both photographer and muse, Vasquez does not seek permission, but reveals and invites interpretation.
Her work has been exhibited internationally and includes the books Love Affair, Love Affair in Black and White, and Muses Den.
