« I create what I am feeling, not what I am seeing. I capture my emotions via unique conceptual ideas. Colors, lines, marks, surface provide me a visual language for expression. »
Bio- David Levy is an American conceptual abstract artist whose work fuses intellectual inquiry with expressive form. After a successful career in advertising, he transitioned to self taught, full-time artmaking in 2017. Since then, his practice has grown rapidly, with a concentrated period of production between 2019 and 2023, shaped by lockdown and stay at home care for his wife over a 5-year period. Levy’s work spans geometric abstraction, illusionistic constructions, and concept-driven series that resist stylistic repetition. His paintings have been exhibited from New York to San Francisco and are held in private collections across the United States, Europe, and Japan.
