David Roncada

I am a painter and art teacher in the Rhône Valley. Trained in applied arts in Lyon and then in fine arts at the University of Saint-Étienne, I have been developing a practice centered on drawing, painting, and the exploration of inner landscapes for over thirty years. My work lies at the boundary between figuration and abstraction. Through my series PsychéFleur and Présence, I seek to create simple images, conceived as breaths. Plant forms, lines, and colors become the vehicles for an exploration of presence, breath, and emotion. I live and work in Condrieu.
