Günther Baechler, an art teacher, painter and peace diplomat, works with natural materials such as sand, stones and wood. He applies a bird's eye view, which gives his semi-abstract works an unusual appearance and sets them apart from typical landscape paintings. The focus on earth colours and textures presented in large-scale works suggests environmental changes. His artworks, which process his experiences in conflict areas, convey intense emotions and invite reflection, projecting the viewer onto the depths of the human experience.
