Alfred Eggensperger worked primarily as a sculptor in his youth, mainly in stone, but sometimes also in wood, creating both figurative and abstract works. In recent years, due to his personal development, he has focused primarily on color. The joy of painting. A dance with colors, a destruction, a reconstruction. Ultimately, a dialogue with the colors, the canvas, and himself.
A defining characteristic of all his work is his strong connection to nature. Since childhood, he has spent time in the mountains and by the sea; he loves the pure air, the clear water, and sleeping outdoors. His work develops from this attitude and mood, sometimes seemingly on its own.
