Multi-disciplinary artist, Caitlin Schumacher, channels somatic art through sound, voice, dance and paint. Love In All Its Frequencies (LIAIF, pronounced LIFE) is the infinite question and the ever shifting and evolving answer that she perpetually researches through her work and her life.
Entering each creative process with music, prayer, surrender and dance, she allows herself to be swept up into what is here. The energy moving through her body is unknown and often painful, but through the process of surrender, trusting the process of decent, she trusts that at some point down will become up, and something beautiful will begin to emerge.
Her paintings have a Rorschach-like quality, with forms and figures emerging and disappearing from view, every person seeing something different, and somehow what they see is what they needed to see the most. In this way, the paintings remain alive, becoming uniquely personal in the eye of each beholder.
