About this artwork
Achezegag returns to his hybrid characters. Half human, half animal. Inspired by American comics and Greek mythology, he invents here a being that is half man, half butterfly. He seeks here to represent the grace, the lightness of this animal, and also the freedom that it represents.

Farid Achezegag is an award-winning sculptor based in France whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Belgium and Cyprus. His art explores the human condition made up of several identities that overlap and often collide, which he represents through the puzzle. In addition, Achezegag utilizes the forms of breastplates to symbolize fragility and weakness. He primarily employs steel in the creation of his compositions.
