About this artwork
My art is a dialogue between conscious composition and controlled chance. In this work, I focus entirely on the materiality of the paint and the dynamics of movement. Through the use of squeegees and spatulas, structures emerge that I could never have achieved with a brush.
My work is about concealment and revelation. Each layer of paint covers the previous one, only to break through again in certain places and reveal the story of the painting.… This multi-layered surface creates a visual vibration that allows the viewer's eye to continually discover new details. The painting is not about an object, but about the energy of color itself.
An epoxy resin finish gives the image a mirrored, high-gloss look and makes the colors appear even brighter and more contrasting.
