About this artwork
The work is made mainly with oil pastel, with some retouching with acrylic colors and gilding.
The support is MDF treated with protective varnish (also on the back and edges) to avoid humidity.
I wanted to create a harmonious female figure; I then reinforced the movement of the arms and face with a gold decoration, which gives the painting a uniqueness that distances it from the simple representation of female beauty.
