About this artwork
Astral is a mysterious and ancestral sculpture, I wanted it to create an antithetical and secretly disconcerting feeling in the spectator:
on the one hand, in fact, there is a certain familiarity towards this object that seems to have been created by an ancient culture, on the other a sort of awe that arises from the vague sensation of finding oneself in front of something that perhaps, at an indeterminate time, came from another part of the universe....
