About this artwork
2001 the odyssey of the species.
One day in spring 1998, a whole class of middle school students was thus projected into an unknown dimension of hyper Space-Time. While attending a drawing lesson given by Aldéhy, their art teacher, all these young people, twenty-five in total, suddenly felt a strange sensation: as in a poem by Prévert, the windows became sand again, the walls have become stones again, paper has become trees ... and everyone suddenly… finds themselves surrounded by mythical figures from another age, both distant and bizarrely familiar.

Aldéhy is an award-winning painter and draftsman based in France whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Port Villa, the United States, Belgium, Italy, Hungary, and England. His thematic and narrative compositions tell stories like comic strips, narrating a beginning and an end. Aldéhy's diverse compositions are created using acrylics, oils, pastels, charcoal, and India ink on paper, canvas, wood, or synthetic board.
