About this artwork
This work is part of the EXISTENCE or ENERGY project.
I've always been drawn to abstract expressionism. I've created many works using this technique, especially in the early years of my career. The colorful, energetic strokes appear chaotic, just as life, existence, and the energy that animates it are chaotic and multifaceted. Yet when viewed from a universal and global perspective, they possess a harmonious rhythm and a marvelous order, like a… dance of strokes and colors. These works are created entirely by sketching the canvas with pencils; the brush never touches the surface. Their creation is a primordial act, instinctive and sudden, yet behind it lies a study of where and how to drip the paint, so that it all makes sense. The work recalls the connections of the brain, the synapses, but also the connections between our souls and the connections existing between living beings.
The color used is only black on a natural canvas color background.
