About this artwork
Table for Two is a playful contemporary still life that combines everyday objects with a touch of warmth and humour. A fluffy dog appears behind the table as if quietly joining the scene, creating an unexpected sense of companionship.
The composition brings together a glass of wine, fresh fruit, flowers and a patterned tablecloth, set against a vivid palette of pink, turquoise, blue and yellow. Strong contrasts and expressive oil pastel marks create… a lively rhythm across the surface, giving the work a spontaneous and tactile character.
The painting is hand-drawn in oil pastel on paper. Its bright colours and playful atmosphere celebrate simple pleasures, companionship and the beauty of an ordinary moment made special.
