I vividly remember painting this piece, '2 Barns.' It was born from a moment of intense inspiration during a severe thunderstorm in the Cascades. As the heavy clouds rolled over the jagged peaks, a sudden, piercing sunset broke through, casting a brief, fiery glow of crimson and electric orange over the old structure I had been watching.
