About this artwork
It was early morning. The tide had just begun to retreat, leaving behind a stretch of glassy, shallow water. The ocean wasn’t roaring. It wasn’t dramatic. It simply breathed. The surface shimmered like liquid light, reflecting the sky so perfectly that it was hard to tell where water ended, and air… began.
Standing there, the realization came quietly: you don’t have to dive deep to experience depth.
The shallow water revealed everything: the ripples in the sand, the tiny shells, the movement of light. Nothing was hidden. And yet, within that clarity was something profound. The reflection of the sky in the thin layer of water felt symbolic: even the shallowest places can hold vastness. Even stillness can carry infinity.
The water in the artwork is intentionally calm, allowing reflections to become the true subject.
