About this artwork
With the deliberate restriction to a very reduced color palette - only warm colors were used: red, brown, ocher, black, white and the image design with seemingly simple shapes and rhythms, the German painter Anando Arnold succeeds in creating an expressive, abstract work. This powerful image invites contemplation, it conveys a feeling of calm and strength. The colored surfaces seem to open up wide spaces. The question arises again and again, is it… space or form. Color fields overlap, fine nuances and differentiated structures are formed that make this work come alive. The picture exudes a natural serenity and an awareness of wealth.
The picture is painted with oil paints on canvas. The canvas is stretched on a stretcher frame and the edges of the picture are painted. The signature of this original painting is on the back. So you can hang it as it is.
« When the mind is still, the creative power flows; a work of art emerges from the grace of the moment. »
Anando Arnold is an experienced German artist who has exhibited his work in Germany, Spain and India since the 1990s. Firmly believing that less is more, he composes paintings centred on the restriction to seemingly simple forms and rhythms, producing expressive images that invite you to look, without feeling obtrusive.
