About this artwork
"Dangerous Game" is a work that reflects, with subtle irony and intense symbolism, on the dynamics of contemporary existence, suspended between attraction and risk, play and consequences. Organic and geometric shapes are arranged in space in an uncertain and fragmented dance, traversed by bold black lines that resemble networks, paths, or invisible connections. The chromatic balance, dominated by earthy and pastel tones, is disrupted by sudden contrasts… that suggest tension and instability. The plaster bas-relief, animated by oil and oxides, creates a layered effect that recalls the sedimentation of experience and memory. Anthropomorphic figures, stylized vehicles, and celestial symbols interact as if in a secret language, leaving the viewer to decipher the message. Benetti thus constructs a visual metaphor on the fragile boundary between innocence and danger, between the desire for freedom and the dangers that come with it.
« The painting of the future was born in caves, since art has always been the most fascinating medium with which matter depicts the spirit. »
