About this artwork
In “Percorsi”, created in 2009, Andrea Benetti constructs a symbolic universe in which black, sinuous and marked trajectories intertwine like lines of destiny or interior paths. The geometric and biomorphic shapes, marked by bright colors and delicate tonal contrasts, evoke cells, organic fragments or archetypal elements, suggesting a journey through time and space of consciousness. materiality to the surface, transforming the canvas into a sort of three-dimensional map. Oil and acrylic blend harmoniously, enriching the composition with reflections and visual vibrations. The work invites the viewer to reflect on the concept of journey, both individual and collective, and on the complexity of human experience. “Percorsi” fits fully into Benetti’s neo-rock research, in which ancestral past and contemporary vision meet in an original and meditative pictorial language.

Andrea Benetti is the author of the Manifesto of Neo-Rock Art, presented at the 53rd Venice Biennale. His works have been acquired by international art collections and museums (United Nations, Vatican, Quirinale, Chamber of Deputies, etc.). Several universities have conducted graduate research on his art. He has collaborated with many universities to organize exhibitions and seminars on Neo-Rock Painting (Universities of Bari, Bergamo, Bologna, Ferrara, Johns Hopkins University, Lecce, Messina, Roma Tre, and Venice). In 2020, he won the "Nettuno d'Oro" Award from the city of Bologna. His biography appears in major encyclopedias, including Treccani, De Agostini, and WikiArt, and is translated into 45 languages on Wikipedia.
