About this artwork
Invisible Procession belongs to the Origins of Abstraction collection and explores the silent presence of primal forces that traverse space and memory. The composition revolves around circular nuclei that act as symbolic centers, connected by fluid lines that evoke invisible paths, passages, and connections. The essential and archetypal forms seem to slowly emerge from the surface, like traces of an ancestral language resurfacing in the present.…
The bas-relief on a plaster base lends depth and tactile texture, while the use of oil, spices, and oxides creates a vibrant, layered material, marked by time. The sober, harmonious colors accentuate the sense of suspension, suggesting an interior and universal dimension. The work thus conveys the idea of a symbolic procession, where each element becomes a sign of continuity between origin, consciousness, and form.

Andrea Benetti is the author of the Manifesto of Neo-Rock Art, presented at the 53rd Venice Biennale. His works have been acquired by international art collections and museums (United Nations, Vatican, Quirinale, Chamber of Deputies, etc.). Several universities have conducted graduate research on his art. He has collaborated with many universities to organize exhibitions and seminars on Neo-Rock Painting (Universities of Bari, Bergamo, Bologna, Ferrara, Johns Hopkins University, Lecce, Messina, Roma Tre, and Venice). In 2020, he won the "Nettuno d'Oro" Award from the city of Bologna. His biography appears in major encyclopedias, including Treccani, De Agostini, and WikiArt, and is translated into 45 languages on Wikipedia.
