About this artwork
My work, titled "Helmets 2," is a deeply personal ode to untouched nature and the power of light, which I was fortunate enough to experience right from my home. It is an attempt to capture a fleeting moment of stillness and sublimity before it passes. The bright, almost silvery water of the river forms a captivating contrast to the dark trunks of the trees, which stand like sentinels on the bank. I used impasto techniques to emphasize the texture…
of the leaves and the vibrancy of the lush green riverbank. The upper part of the painting, in vibrant yellow-green, captures the intense light of spring or summer as it filters through the canopy, filling the scene with a palpable warmth. This perspective, drawn directly from my own surroundings, lends the painting an additional layer of authenticity and emotional depth.
