He is the great father of the gods in Greek mythology, the most powerful god, enthroned high on Mount Olympus, but still not all-powerful. When Zeus and his siblings finally gained control of the earth, he secured the… greatest sphere of power for himself: the sky, the earth and later also the human world. But he gave his brother Hades the keys to the underworld, the world of the dead, and Poseidon the keys to the sea, power over all the animals living there, the elemental force of the water, and swore that neither would ever be allowed to influence the other in his sphere of power.

Andreas Noßmann is a draftsman based in Germany whose works have been exhibited nationally and in the Netherlands. Having always been fascinated by topics that touch or disturb, his artistic practice is also marked by his requirement for "a perfect graphic implementation". Noßmann's distinctive and diverse landscapes, portraits, and still-lifes are created with pastels, graphite, pencils, India ink, chalk, and charcoal on paper, canvas, or cardboard.
