Tra le Pieghe del Cuore is a delicate and intense work, which mixes nostalgia and rebellion in a composition full of symbolism.
A man with a nineteenth-century bearing discreetly opens his coat: not to hide, but to show what is inside. From the folds of the coat emerge colorful butterflies, each with a word engraved on its wings: Hope, Freedom, Love, Silence, Escape. They are not objects, but living feelings, ready to fly.
On the wall behind her,… in a graffiti that breaks the floral elegance, a sharp writing: "DON'T BUY WINGS" – a warning against those who try to buy what should come from the heart: freedom, love, hope.
The work thus becomes a visual metaphor: the deepest emotions are not bought, they are cultivated, they are kept… in the folds of the heart.
