About this artwork
The piece is a diptych inspired by the Rock group SAVAGE GARDEN’s song “To The Moon And Back”.
We have relationship partners who are experiencing a breakup with one partner (left panel) in her new universe; represented by the full Moon. A Moon that glows once all light is extinguished to total darkness. It glows along with other glowing features in the piece for hours.
Her partner (right panel) asks the critical question of “WHY”. She is… if the mindset of the Yin Yang With all has a place common to both.
Regardless of partner… we have all been on the right side panel state iof the piece.
The two panels can be sold and displayed separately.
« I am a self-taught oil painter who seeks to capture your eye as a portal to that part of the brain which can lead to interest, likes, wants... »
Exciting US painter Andy Hollimon has never taken an art class in his life. It was after military service and a business career, that Hollimon discovered his natural gift for painting. Working mainly with oil paints, Hollimon is a realist painter, but admits to approaching realism with 'on canvas twists'. Such twists include surprising color schemes, moments of abstraction, and perspective shifts. Hollimon's paintings are luminous, mysterious, and joyful. Full of revelations, they invoke delight and invite contemplation.
