About this artwork
When I created this piece, along with others, I had gone through a personal traumatic period and had stopped painting for a while. After a period of time I painted a body of work which started with dark pieces depicting how I felt running through stages which grew lighter to the last piece. Exactly how I felt!
Layers of gesso felt like the fears running through my mind which was then painted in several coats of acrylic that pacified those fears.… It felt calming to run my fingers across the layers - the work seemed to talk and tell me to buck myself up and I did! Thank you for looking at my work....
