About this artwork
When color becomes emotion: I painted a floral explosion with the aim of conveying joy and energy. It's not a realistic still life, but an emotional impression. The flowers depicted are not botanically precise; they are splashes of color; here, texture is everything. Some corollas are constructed with swirls of color, others with quick strokes. It's gestural and instinctive painting; the surface vibrates. The palette is rich and sensual, dominated… by warm and cool harmonies that enhance each other. The title captures the intent; I didn't want to tell a story, but rather convey the physicality of the oil paint. The rapid brushstrokes are thick and creamy; looking at it, you can almost feel the creamy consistency of the paint under your fingers.
Anna Carrarini, a painter passionate about drawing and painting, trained both self-taught and through courses with renowned masters, such as Francesco Vaglica, continuing her training in art studios. She primarily uses oil on canvas, pastels, and watercolors, and experiments with brushes, palette knives, and other tools, paying close attention to color. Her works, blending classical themes with dreamlike symbolism, evoke profound emotions, leading the viewer on a journey of personal exploration and inner harmony.
